The Bridges Golf club
This 18-hole golf course is a gem!
The original nine holes in Claresholm were opened in 1978, and the new nine opened in June 2005. The back nine is a Les Furber design, with water is in play in 12 of 18 holes. Be sure to check out this on your way through Claresholm.

Claresholm Indoor Swimming pool
This wonderful facility features a 5-lane, 25 metre pool, graduated entry (handicap accessible), 30-person hot tub, diving board, Tarzan rope, and many toys! The pool is located at the south entry of the Claresholm Centre for Mental Health & Addictions. Call 625-2172 for swim times.

SPRAY PARK

Opened in the summer of 2008, this park is located in the Centennial Campground and is a great place to be on a a hot summer day! The park is open 10 am to 8 pm daily until Labour Day.

Skating Rink
A bustling place in the winter, the skating rink hosts hockey, figure skating and the local dance group in the upstairs mezzanine. In the summer, it is the location
of the weekly Farmer’s Market. Stop by for a visit ~ there’s always something going on!

Tennis Courts
Three tennis courts are located at the Willow Creek Composite High School. These courts were refinished in 1999.

Curling Rink
The four sheet curling rink was built and is maintained by volunteers of the Claresholm Curling Club. Leagues run November to April.

Campground
The Centennial Park campground offers full service camping, with hook-ups for water and sewer. A new shower building was recently built and offers change room areas, showers, and a camp kitchen for picnics. Horseshoe pits, ball diamonds, and a new playground are also located in this park. Skateboard Park
A new skateboard park was built in the summer of 2003. The park is home to local skaters as well as available to those visiting. The skateboard park is located at the Claresholm skating rink.

Claresholm Baseball Complex
Built by volunteers in conjunction with the Town of Claresholm, this facility was completed in 2001. Host to many slowpitch and baseball tournaments, the complex is located north of the Claresholm Community Centre.


Several recreational sites are located outside of the town limits. These offer outdoor activities and many more recreational opportunities. Be sure to visit ... and bring a picnic lunch!

WILLOW CREEK PROVINCIAL PARK
The rolling grasslands and tree-lined creek provide quiet camping and picnicking spots on the edge of the Porcupine Hills. Experience the beauty of the foothills and flavor of ranching country. The area is rich in aboriginal history, and there is evidence of a teepee ring in the park.

PINE COULEE
The Pine Coulee Project was constructed beginning in 1996 and completed in 1999. This project, built north west of Claresholm, was initiated in response to recurring shortages of water supply due to the variable water flow in Willow Creek. The project will provide a reliable water supply for the 4500 residents of the Willow Creek Basin, including the towns of Claresholm and Granum. It will also secure a water source for irrigated land and allow an expansion of the irrigated areas already served. The project will enhance fish and wildlife habitat, as well as create additional water-based recreational opportunities near the existing facilities at Willow Creek Provincial Park.

CLEAR LAKE
A great little man-made lake to visit just east of town! This location offers camping, a playground, and small hall which is great for family reunions or small gatherings. The lake is a great spot for boating, waterskiing or jet-skiing. Call the Municipal District of Willow Creek Office to inquire about booking the hall or camping area for group functions.

CHAIN LAKES Provincial Park
Campsites at this provincial park are all located within willow trees. There are 2 community fire pits in the campground and 2 camp shelters. The lake is quite long and narrow at the base of the valley. Water skiing is not allowed however tubing is. Chain Lakes is mostly utilized by fishermen enjoying the great fishing.
