The Utilities Consumer Advocate (UCA) office is a branch of Service Alberta and has a mandate to educate, advocate, and mediate for Alberta’s residential, farm, and small business electricity and natural gas consumers.

Town Utility Costs

On March 11, 2019, Council gave 3rd and Final Reading to Bylaw #1659, the Water & Sewer Bylaw. Changes took effect on May 1, 2019.

On November 14, 2023, Council gave 3rd and Final Reading to Bylaw #1770, which amended Bylaw #1659's Schedule "D", Water & Sewer Rate Tables.

On October 15, 2019, Council gave 3rd and Final Reading to Bylaw #1676, the Recyclable Materials Management Bylaw, which came into effect on November 1, 2019.

On December 11, 2023, Council gave 3rd and Final Reading to Bylaw #1777, the Solid Waste Management Bylaw, which came into effect on December 11, 2023.

2024 RATES:

Water;

$36.77 per month, with no water consumption included.
$1.73 per cubic meter. 

Sewer;
$17.33 / Month
Sewer usage charge: $0.948 per cubic meter on 50% of water consumption.

Garbage;
$13.50 / Month

Recycling;
$11.37 / Month

Residential utilities are billed on a bimonthly bases (once every 2 months) and are due at the end of the following month. Utility invoices are mailed out a few days prior to the end of the month. To receive your utility bills via email, rather than regular mail, fill out the application form below and e-mail or drop off to the Town Office.

DownloadE-Bill Service Agreement

Payments can be made via cash, cheque, money order, or debit at the Town Office or can be paid through your financial institution. Alternatively you can sign up for our Pre-Authorized Utility Payment Plan (UPP). If signed up for UPPs the withdrawal from your bank will take place on the 15th day of the month (or following business day) following your bill. (e.g. January – February bill will be mailed or emailed around February 25th and payment will be automatically withdrawn on March 15th). To sign up for UPPs fill out the application below and e-mail or drop off to the Town Office.
